New dummy leaks of 2018 iPhones show similarities and difference in all three variants

Apple is said to launch three iPhones in September, two with OLED displays and an affordable device with an LCD panel. The 2018 lineup of iPhones will have a similar design as last year’s iPhone X. Several leaksters have already posted images of the phones' front panels and back covers, among other stuff, to confirm the designs of the the devices. Now, famous leakster Ben Geskin has posted photos of summy units of all three 2018 iPhones. The leakster claims that the iPhones could look exactly like they are seen in the tweeted images. The images show three iPhone dummies kept side-by-side with the 6.5-inch iPhone kept on the far right and the 5.8-inch phone on the extreme left. In the middle, there is the most affordable iPhone of the three. From the front, all the phones look similar to each other. On the left edge are the volume rocker and the mute switch, and on the right edge, the phones have the power buttons. When the phones are flipped, there is symmetry in the OLED variants in terms of cameras. Both the phones have dual-camera setups at the back. The cameras are aligned in a vertical fashion -- just like in the iPhone X. The one in the middle has a single camera and just below the camera, there is an LED flash. Now incorporating a single camera -- along with the LCD panel -- could be a way to keep the price of the phone down. The images are in line with the rumours and claims that are already making rounds on the internet. Two days ago, the same leakster had posted photos of 6.5-inch and 6.1-inch iPhones on Twitter. Apple is expected to launch the 6.5-inch OLED iPhone for $900-$1,000, a second generation OLED iPhone for $800-$900, and the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone for $600-$700. In a separate development, Apple has reportedly optimised its iOS 12 in such a way that when the native apps are viewed in the landscape mode, they look similar to their iPad counterparts. According to a Brazilian website iHelp BR, the Beta 5 of the iOS 12 came with this update/feature. “Apple released the fifth test version of iOS 12 for developers yesterday. To our surprise, when running the new build with the supposed resolution of the iPhone XS Plus, it was possible to view the applications in landscape mode as they are displayed on the larger models. That is, taking better advantage of the space of the big screen,” the platform posted. This may suggest that the company is already planning to make big screen iPhones in the future.
