Xiaomi says it sold over Rs 200 crore of Poco F1 smartphones in 5 minutes

Last week, Xiaomi launched the Poco F1 (Review), the cheapest Snapdragon 845 smartphone in the world with prices starting from Rs 20,999. The Chinese conglomerate held the first flash sale of the smartphone on Flipkart on August 29 and claims that it sold smartphones worth over Rs 200 crore in 5 minutes. In a tweet, the company thanked the “Masters Of Speed” for making the sale “the BIGGEST & FASTEST flagship sale ever on @Flipkart!” It also announced that the next flash sale will be on September 5. Flipkart echoed Xiaomi’s claims saying that the flagship offering “made history as it broke all records in the premium segment.” The e-commerce giant says Xiaomi Poco F1 became the fastest selling smartphone in the premium flagship segment in the history. “The new POCO F1 went on sale at noon on Flipkart and within a few minutes ran out of stock, selling over a lakh units in less than 5 minutes.
