LG Q Stylus+ with IP68 rating, fast charging launched in India at Rs 21,990

Expanding its ‘Q’ series of smartphones in India, LG has launched the Q Stylus+ in India at a price point of Rs 21,990. The smartphone comes bearing a 1.5GHz Octa-core CPU with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, expandable up to 2TB. A version of the LG Q Stylus+ with a 1.8GHz Octa-core processor was launched in the US back in June. The smartphone features a tall 6.2-inch FHD+ Full Vision display (2160 x 1080 / 389ppi) with an 18:9 screen ratio. As the name suggests, the smartphones is accompanied by a stylus to facilitate handwritten input. It also features an “intelligent palm rejection system” which ensures that the display does not come on when there’s a palm placed on it. LG says that the Q Stylus+ can recognise and record handwritten notes even when the display is off. The stylus can also be utilised to personalise captured images and videos to create animated GIFs. Further, the LG Q Stylus+ comes with IP68 water and dust resistance, along with support for Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging using a USB Type-C port. The battery capacity of the phone stands at 3,300mAh and it features a 16MP+ 8MP (Rear+Front) camera setup. The smartphone also features DTS:X 3D Surround Sound and the company claims it can provide a 7.1 channel 3D surround sound experience on earphones. The phone has been approved for military safety standard 'MIL-STD 810G' which is used by US Department of Defense. There is a ‘Smart Rear Key’ at the back which doubles up as a fingerprint sensor and a selfie camera shutter button. The LG Q Stylus+ shares all its specifications with the LG Q8 (2018) which was launched recently in Korea. It will run Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box and will be compatible with up to 4G LTE networks. Other connectivity options on the phone include - Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC. The LG Q Stylus+ will be available staring September 5 in Aurora Black and Moroccan Blue colours.
