Mumbai-based retailer is selling Google Pixel 2 XL for Rs 45,499

Google launched the Pixel 2 XL at a starting price of Rs 73,000 for the 64GB variant in India last year. In December, the company dropped the prices of the smartphone for a limited period of time and the smartphone was up for grabs at a starting price of Rs 57,000. It seems that the smartphone has just received another price cut as Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom is selling it at a price of Rs 45,499. The price cut comes almost two weeks ahead of the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL launch event. When we checked on Google Store, Flipkart and Amazon, the price of the smartphone is Rs 61,000, Rs 59,999 and Rs 57,990 respectively. The prices on the online platforms may change. We couldn’t confirm the price in Delhi at the time of writing this story. Moreover, there is no communication from the Google on the reported price cut in India. The Google Pixel 2 XL was launched alongside its smaller sibling, the Pixel 2, last year sporting an 18:9 display aspect ratio with thinner top and bottom bezels and shrunken glass panel at the back. The Pixel 2 XL features a 6-inch Quad HD+ P-OLED display. The handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and an option for either 64GB or 128GB internal storage. It sports a 12MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, Dual Pixel autofocus, optical and electronic image stabilisation (EIS). When it was launched, the smartphone ran on Android 8.0 Oreo but Google has already rolled out the Android 9.0 Pie update (sans some flagship features) to the smartphone. The Pixel 2 XL also has Active Edge feature that allows user to open the Google Assistant by squeezing the edge of the device. The Pixel 2 XL is IP67 water and dust resistant and sports front-firing stereo speakers. There is a fingerprint sensor located at the back of the device and it is backed by a 3450mAh battery and supports fast charging via an 18W USB Type-C adapter. #PriceDrop - Pixel 2 XL 64 GB now shipping with New MRP - 45499/- pic.twitter.com/QXil1EFbAE — Mahesh Telecom (@MAHESHTELECOM) 26 September 2018
