Android 90 Pie missing from Googles October distribution numbers

Google has released the Android distribution numbers for October and the data shows that the latest version of Android, Android 9 Pie has failed to make a cut in the distribution numbers of October. Google says that any versions with less than 0.1 percent distribution are not shown in the pie chart that depicts the distribution of different Android OS versions. It implies that Android 9.0 Pie is still running on less than 0.1 percent of devices even after almost three months after its stable launch. Google says that these numbers are compiled from Android devices that accessed the Play Store during a seven-day period that ended on October 26. According to these numbers, Oreo is now the second-most installed Android OS and saw a jump with 8.0 at 14 percent from 13.4 percent and 8.1 at 7.5 percent from 5.8 percent which adds to 21.5 percent surpassing Marshmallow which is installed on 21.3 percent devices. Android Nougat, which is still the top OS release in most smartphones, fell slightly to 28.1 percent from 29.3 percent. Lollipop is at 17.9 percent, KitKat at 7.6 percent and Jelly Bean at 3 percent. Ice Cream Sandwich is at 0.3 percent and Gingerbread at 0.2 percent. Google released the Android 9.0 Pie in August and in the Android distribution numbers for August it said that Android 9 Pie is running on less than 0.1 percent devices. Google first introduced the Android Pie at Google I/O this year.
