PUBG Mobile celebrates Diwali by offering kurta pyjama clothing item, special Diwali events and more
While the ‘Halloweeks’ event for PUBG Mobile is still going on, it looks like the developers of the game haven’t forgotten about Indian holidays. The game is also celebrating a Diwali event this week and is giving players a chance to show-off their ‘desi-ness’ by purchasing and wearing a kurta pyjama. Unfortunately, there is only one suit that is available and includes a purple/violet nehru jacket, cream-coloured kurta and a black pyjama. The player also wears a pair of juttis which complete the look. However, it looks like players can only buy the whole look together as a set, and not individual pieces. The set will cost players 499 UC (in-game currency) and can be accessed by heading to the Shop and selecting ‘Packs’. It should be noted that UC can only be purchased with real-world money and the pack with 600 UC will set players back by Rs 799. Players can also buy two 180 UC packs for Rs 249 each. The game is also celebrating a Diwali Dhamaka Offer and this cost is actually a temporary reduction in cost till November 2. After that, it will cost 1119 UC. It is also hosting a Grand Diwali Sale, in which players can purchase items like High School Shoes (Male), Rugged (Orange)-UMP, Jeans (Brown), and Stylish Floral Shirt for 688 UC. It is also offering the Hockey Mask (Earth) and Classic Coupon crate for 240 UC. Besides this, players can also partake in and be rewarded for completing certain in-game tasks as part of the Diwali event. This includes Diwali: Stayin’ Alive, which rewards players for surviving set periods of time in Classic Duo matches. Diwali: Terminator rewards players for kills in Classic Solo. Diwali: Squad Up! offers rewards for playing with friends in Classic Squad, while Diwali Lonewolf offers rewards getting high ranking finishes in Classic Solo. Details of the type of rewards, as well as collection of any reward can be done by heading into the ‘Events’ section. While the kurta pyjama may not seem like the ideal wardrobe choice for jumping into hostile territory, it’s a pretty neat way for players to fly the Indian flag in PUBG Mobile. How many players actually decide to cough up the required dough for the items is another matter completely.
