Airtel, Idea revamp prepaid plans to offer more data with extended validity

Airtel has revamped its Rs 448 recharge and instead of 1.4GB daily data, it will now offer 1.5GB data every day along with unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day for 82 days. Idea has also reportedly refreshed its Rs 392 prepaid recharge but it will offer 1.4GB of data per day for 60 days, extended from the previous validity of 54 days. The recharge still comes with unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. TelecomTalk reports that the Idea recharge caps voice calling to 250 minutes per day, 1,000 minutes per week, and one can only call 100 unique numbers.  Between Rs 300 and Rs 500, Airtel has three plans and two of them offer the same amount of data benefits but with varying validity. The Rs 399 prepaid plan by Airtel comes with 1.4GB of data per day with a validity of 70 days and there’s also a Rs 499 recharge, which comes with 2GB daily data into an Airtel user’s account, with 82-day validity. Its rival Vodafone also has a Rs 349 unlimited prepaid pack in this range, which comes with 3GB daily 4G/3G data for 28 days. The Rs 399 plan by the telco offers 1.4GB data every day for 70 days and its slightly higher priced pack at Rs 479 comes with 1.5GB of daily data for 84 days.  Idea recently revamped its Rs 399 recharge pack as well and it now comes with 1GB daily data, unlimited voice calling with FUP, and 100 SMS messages per day with a validity of 84 days. The recharge previously offered 1.4GB of data per day.
