Moto Z4 Amazon listing pulled after a user bought it and posted an unboxing video online
Motorola was rumoured to be working on its next smartphone in its Z series called the Moto Z4. Several leaks and reports about the smartphone offered information about the device but it seems like the device went up for sale without any prior announcement. A Redditor noticed that the yet to be officially announced Moto Z4 was listed on Amazon ahead of the launch and another Redditor purchased it to record and post an unboxing video of the handset. The smartphone listing was later taken down and it’s yet to be known if someone slipped up or whether this was intentional.
The Amazon listing confirms most of the phone’s specs. It is said to come equipped with a 6.4-inch OLED FullVision display with a 2,340 x 1080 resolution and feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset is listed running on the Snapdragon 675 SoC, coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card slot. In terms of camera, the phone is touted to feature a single 48MP sensor on the back that is capable of producing 12MP binned images. On the front is a 25MP single camera sensor, which is placed in a waterdrop notch.
As one would expect, the Moto Z4 is also seen featuring contact points on the back to attach Moto mods. In the phone’s first impression video, the handset is also said to have a problem as the Moto mod doesn’t really sit flush with the phone and there’s a slight gap between the rear panel and the mod. Since the handset is yet to be officially announced, we can’t be sure if the problem is actually because of the mod or the phone or if the person who ordered it received a pre-production unit. In any case, the official launch date of the Moto Z4 is still unknown.
