Twitters Lists feature is finally getting an update
Lists, a Twitter feature that allows you to create custom timelines by adding users whose tweets you are interested in, might get an update in the near future. The feature has always been buried deep inside making it difficult for the users to access it. Well, that won't be the case for too long as Twitter just indicated in the form of a tweet that it is in the process of updating it. Notably, the feature doesn’t even require those users to be followed to access their tweets, hence keeping your timeline clutter-free.
The company today announced that it is testing a way to access lists easier. A tweet was shared from the company’s account, which says, “Customizable timelines that are easy to access? We’re thinking about ways to do this! One idea we had is for you to be able to swipe to your lists from home. If you're in the test tell us what you think”
The tweet gets a small clip showing you how you can jump to Lists with just a swipe. The feature is only available for selected users who have been added for the testing. If you are one of them, you will get to see a dashed timeline similar to Instagram stories by swiping left from home. Doing this will show up tweets from users you have added to Lists.
Lists can come in handy for viewing things you want to track sometimes - like tweets from a gaming company, hashtags, TV shows, etc. As mentioned before, you could even use Lists for viewing someone’s tweets without actually following them. It is worth noting that the feature is still in its testing phase and that Twitter is currently taking feedback from users before it rolls out the feature publicly.
