Leaked video shows Samsung Galaxy S10+ running on Android 10 with One UI 20

A video footage showing a Samsung Galaxy S10+ that’s supposedly running the upcoming version of Android has surfaced online on the heels of Google’s official announcement of Android 10. In the video published by Portugese YouTuber Dudu Rocha, the Samsung flagship smartphone is seen running the tenth version of Android along with One UI 2.0 from Samsung. If this video is to be believed, then we can expect Android 10 to come with gesture navigation built into it, among other features.

Even though there’s a chance this video is doctored to show Android 10 running on a Samsung smartphone, we have reason to believe that it’s the real deal. Max Weinbach of XDA Developers has analysed the footage frame by frame to write in his report, “One of the reasons I believe this is a legitimate build of Android 10 with One UI 2.0 is actually a notification shown in his notification settings.”

“I have used lots of Samsung developer builds back when the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S9 builds leaked online. Something that all of those builds had in common was a notification from ‘SecurityLogAgent.’ It would always pop up and couldn’t be disabled,” he writes. Since Weinbach’s research is not sufficient proof to call the footage legitimate, we’ll have to take what we see in the YouTuber’s video with a pinch of salt.

Seen in the video is a new easter egg for Android 10, which is brought up by pressing Android Version repeatedly in Settings. Also seen in the video is a feature called Link to Windows, which is reportedly a collaborative feature by Samsung and Microsoft. The footage also shows Android 10 supporting screen recording natively. While this is Samsung’s take on Android 10 (through One UI 2.0), we have yet to find out what the stock version of Android 10 looks like. Android 10 (previously Android Q) is currently in beta testing and is expected to be unveiled officially on the Google Pixel 4 in the coming weeks.
