Vivo iQoo Pro launched in China, comes with Snapdragon 855 Plus, 5G, and more

Vivo has launched the 4G and 5G variants of the Vivo iQoo Pro in China today. This makes Vivo the latest smartphone maker to launch a 5G smartphone. The new smartphone joins the likes of  iQoo, iQoo Neo in the Vivo iQoo series. The iQoo Pro mobile phone shares a number of design elements from its younger sibling, the iQoo. 

Vivo iQoo Pro specifications

The Vivo iQoo Pro features a 6.41-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Super AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM. The smartphone packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 44W fast charge.

On the optics front, the Vivo iQoo Pro sports a triple rear camera setup, which includes an AI-powered 48MP primary shooter, a 13MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front lies a 12MP (Dual Pixel) selfie camera.

Compared to the 5G variant, there is support for 5G connectivity in one slot and 4G LTE in the other, whereas the 4G variant comes with 4G connectivity support in both slots. Apart from this, there is no difference between the two models. 

The Vivo iQoo packs up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The phone also has NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and Hi-Res Audio support. 

Vivo iQoo Pro price and sale date

The Vivo iQoo Pro starts at CNY 3,198 (approx. Rs 32,300) for the base version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 12GB RAM + 128GB storage variant has been priced at CNY 3,498 (approx. Rs 35,300). 

The 5G variant, Vivo iQoo Pro 5G Edition starts at  CNY 3,798 (approx. Rs 38,400) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 128GB storage variants of the phone will retail at CNY 3,998 (approx. Rs 40,400) and CNY 4,098 (approx. Rs 41,400), respectively. 

Vivo will be offering the smartphone in three colours starting August 29 and September 2 for the 4G and 5G versions respectfully. There is no word on availability of the phone outside China at this point.
