Realme X50 5G to come with 5D cooling, enhanced VOOC 40 charging
The Realme X50 5G is starting to look like a very interesting phone. While the company hasn’t revealed all the details, it has taken a page out of OnePlus’s playbook and has been releasing titbits of information every now and then. Over the last few days, we’ve got confirmed information on the chipset the Realme X50 5G will use, along with the novel cooling system the company is employing to keep the whole handset cool.
The Realme X50 5G has been confirmed to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G gaming SoC. For the uninitiated, Qualcomm had started designating some of its SoCs as ‘G’, which stands for gaming. The smartphone will also sport 5G and apparently VOOC 4.0 fast charging which is said to take the battery from 0-70 in 30 minutes. The charging system will also include an intelligent 5-chip safety method, which will monitor the charge in real time in order to prevent overheating and any such untoward incidents.
All of the above-listed features and components listed above are known to have a nasty side-effect; heat. Whether it's long gaming sessions, fast charging or even that 5G radio, heat is going to always be an issue, which is compounded when the above three things happen at the same time. To counter this, Realme is now revealing a hefty cooling system for the Realme X50. All of the components inside the Realme X50 5G will be cooled by a “five-dimensional ice-cooled heat dissipation system.” Realme says that this system will cover 100 percent of all the heat-generating components. The cooling solution will also include an 8mm ultra-large liquid-cooled copper tube.
Realme has not revealed any kind of performance numbers of this cooling system in terms of what kind of cooling users can expect. Additionally, the company has also kept under wraps other specifics such as the details on the camera modules. Rumours have suggested that there will be a 64-megapixel camera and a total of four cameras, but nothing is confirmed as of yet. We expect the company to release more information in the coming days.
