Honor 9X, MagicWatch 2, Band 5i to be launched in India today: Live stream, expected specs and more

Honor is all set to launch new devices, including the Honor 9X, Honor MagicWatch 2 and Honor Band 5i, in India. The devices will be launched in India at 12:30 PM IST today, January 14. To recall,  Honor 9X was launched in China alongside the Honor 9X Pro in July last year. Similarly, Honor MagicWatch 2 and Honor Band 5i also debuted in China last year. Honor 9X specifications

Honor 9X comes equipped with a 6.59-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 19.5:9 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by the Kirin 710F chipset, paired with an ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. The smartphone comes equipped with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 512GB with a microSD card.

In the optics department, Honor 9X sports a triple rear camera setup: a 48MP camera with 1/2″ sensor, 0.8μm pixel size and f/1.8 aperture + an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture + a 2MP depth camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front lies a 16MP selfie shooter housed in the pop-up camera module. 

The smartphone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It packs a 4000mAh battery. It runs EMUI 9.1.1 based on Android 9 Pie. It is expected to launch around Rs 15,000 in India.

Honor MagicWatch 2 and Honor Band 5i specifications

Honor MagicWatch 2 has a 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display on its 42mm variant. On the other hand, 46mm model comes equipped with a 1.39-inch display. It is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin A1 SoC paired with 4GB of onboard storage. It also comes with 5ATM water resistance and includes a heart rate monitor as well as GPS support. 

Coming to the Honor Band 5i, it is a fitness wristband with a 0.96-inch (160x80 pixels) touchscreen display. The band packs a 91mAh battery. The company claims it can last for up to nine days on a single charge. It has nine sports modes. The Honor Band 5i comes with Bluetooth v4.2 connectivity as well as a 3-axis inertial sensor and a heart rate sensor.
