Apple’s latest offerings in India have received a price bump. The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max price hike has arrived after the Indian Government increased the Basic Custom Duty rates (BCD) in the Union Budget 2020. Moreover, the new iPhones are not the only affected ones. The iPhone 8 series prices have also been affected. However, iPhone XR and iPhone 7 prices remain the same as Apple has been assembling these models locally through its known manufacturers Foxconn and Wistron. The iPhone 11 price remains the same as well since Apple decided to absorb the cost after the increased customs duty.
As a result of the new change, the iPhone 11 Pro Max price in India is now Rs 1,11,200 for the base 64GB storage variant. Further, the price of the 256GB model goes up to Rs 1,25,200 from Rs 1,23,900, while the 512GB option will now cost Rs 1,43,200, which is an increase of Rs 1,300. For reference, the iPhone 11 Pro Max was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 1,09,900.
Similarly, the iPhone 11 Pro (review) price in India has been hiked by Rs 1,300. It is now available to purchase for Rs 1,01,200 for the base 64GB variant. The 256GB model now costs Rs 1,15,200 and the 512GB option will be made available at Rs 1,33,200. The iPhone 11 Pro was launched at a starting price of Rs 99,900 in India.
Coming to the iPhone 8, the price has been hiked by Rs 600. The 64GB model will now cost Rs 40,500 instead of Rs 39,900. The 128GB model costs Rs 45,500. Further, the iPhone 8 Plus price in India has also been hiked by Rs 700. It is now available for Rs 50,600 for the 64GB variant, while the 128GB model costs Rs 55,600.
