Apple, Amazon, Youtube and others to live stream Global Citizens One World: Together at Home concert

The COVID-19 outbreak has put most of the world in quarantine, if not in complete lockdown. As enterprises turn to novel solutions such as Zoom meetings to keep their businesses, artists have also been trying to figure out how to do what they do for their audiences. The World Health Organisation in collaboration with Global Citizen has announced the “One World: Together At Home” concert, set to take place on April 18, 2020.

The concert will be held virtually and has a very impressive lineup. The lineup has been curated by Lady Gaga and the following artists are expected to make an appearance during the concert: Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, FINNEAS, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, and Stevie Wonder. The concert will be hosted by Jimmy Falon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert. It would be interesting to see how a concert like this one would be put together since self-isolation is the need of the hour.

The concert itself will see one of the widest broadcasts ever. Besides airing on most popular channels in the west, the WHO and Global Citizen will also stream the concert on all major internet platforms such as Amazon Prime, Facebook, Instagram, Apple TV, YouTube, Alibaba, Twitch and many more. You can see the full list here.

So far, $35 million has already been raised $35 million towards fighting the COVID-19 outbreak, and with the concert, they hope to raise even more. You can check the timing of the concert livestream in your respective regions by going to this link.
