Vivo Z1X with triple rear cameras to be launched in India in early September: Report
Mid-range Vivo smartphones with a triple rear camera setup are all set to become an everyday thing in the Indian market. According to a recent report by Smartprix, the Vivo Z1X will be launched in India in the first week of September. One of the three camera sensors on the back will be a 48MP primary sensor. The Vivo Z1X is expected to be marketed as an upgraded version of the Vivo Z1 Pro, which was announced sometime ago.
Though the exact specifications of the Vivo Z1X aren’t known or detailed in the report, the device is compared with the Vivo Z1 Pro. Launched about a month ago, the Vivo Z1 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset. RAM + storage combinations include 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB. In addition, the phone has a dedicated microSD card slot for expansion of storage up to 256GB.
The Vivo Z1 Pro has three cameras on its back panel: one 16MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, one 8MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, and one 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 for portrait shots. There’s a 32MP selfie camera on the front with an aperture of f/2.0. Powering the device is a 5000mAh non-removable lithium-ion polymer battery with support for 18W fast charging.
The Vivo Z1X is expected to have a 48MP primary sensor in the place of the Vivo Z1 Pro’s 16MP primary sensor. Like the Z1 Pro, the Z1X is expected to run Android 9 Pie with Funtouch 9 right out of the box. Since the Z1 Pro starts at Rs 14,990, the Vivo Z1X is expected to start a price well under the Rs 20,00 mark. We expect to learn more about the phone as we get closer to September.
